Shipping within New Zealand
PlayIslands Ltd. ships to residential and business addresses across New Zealand, including rural delivery areas served by NZ Post. We do not currently ship internationally.
Dispatch times
Orders are packed from our Auckland studio within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays). You will receive a confirmation email when your order is dispatched, including tracking where available.

Delivery estimates are guides only. Remote areas, weather events or courier delays may extend transit times — especially to the South Island and West Coast.
Order tracking
Tracking links are emailed when your parcel leaves our studio. If you have not received tracking within three business days of ordering, contact orders@playislands.nz.
Damaged or missing items
If your parcel arrives damaged or an item is missing, email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the packaging. We will replace the item or refund you promptly.
Returns policy
We want you to feel confident choosing a book. If a title is not right for you, you may return it under the conditions below.
14-day change of mind
- Unread books in original condition may be returned within 14 days of delivery
- Books must be free from markings, creases or damage beyond inspection
- Original packaging is not required, but please pack securely to prevent damage in transit
- You are responsible for return postage unless the item was faulty or incorrectly supplied
How to start a return
- Email orders@playislands.nz with your order number and reason for return
- We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions
- Ship the book to: PlayIslands Returns, 12 Customs Street West, Auckland 1010
- Refunds are processed within 5 business days of us receiving the returned item
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a faulty product.
Non-returnable items
- Books that show signs of reading (folded pages, notes, spine creases)
- Items damaged after delivery through misuse
- Digital downloads or free promotional materials (if offered in future)
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Books must be of acceptable quality and match their description. If a book is defective or not as described, contact us for a repair, replacement or refund regardless of the 14-day window.
